Great doctor/s and exam process, however the front line staff will be the reason for me to never return.The front line staff dropped the ball on two separate occasions.

The first issue involved ordering prescription sunglasses. A lens type and tint grade was specified. To triple check and prevent delays, I asked the front line staff to confirm (twice) that the tint and lens combination was possible. After a 3-4 week wait, the sunglasses returned with a nearly clear tint grade that likely wouldn’t classified as “sunglasses”. The staff informed me that the “lab had made a mistake and the glasses will be sent back for correction”. A couple weeks go by, nothing from Optika. I called to check and they called the lab, only to inform me that the lab was unable to manufacture the sunglasses with the specified combination. It would’ve been great to know and not waste time telling me misinformation. Ultimately the sunglasses were manufactured using a different combination from the original specification and I received the sunglasses after nearly 2 months.

The second event was more concerning as. A lens replacement for a frame was ordered through Optika, however the younger male staff clearly did not understand the transaction and what was covered by insurance. After a long winded conversation, the staff confirmed the balance due was correct, ordered the replacement lens, and charged me an amount “not covered by insurance”. All was good until I received a call a few hours after from the same Optika staff informing me that he “was unable to charge me for the lens replacement as the insurance covered the lens in full”. One, the staff should check or request help to check on transactions if he/she is not familiar with the process. Two, the staff came off as if I wanted them to charge me incorrectly. The staff later informed me that a refund is in process and I was supposed to receive the refund to my credit card within 2-3 business days. Two weeks go by and no refund. I called Optika and the “manager” informed me that she does not recognize the refund. After a few calls back and forth, she was able to refund me instantly.

Dr Lo and his staff are amazing! I would definitely recommend this place for your optical needs, I have astigmatism and other optometrists have not gotten my prescription fine tuned like Dr Lo, he is very patient and took his time with my daughter who is 5 and myself. He answers all questions and I never felt rushed. The staff is also very kind and patient.

I’ve never seen an eye doctor (optometrist) before, but had a such a great experience visiting this office. Everyone was very professional, especially the doctor. He was very detailed in explaining everything to you and was not in hurry at all. Gave me good recommendations and felt like he was my friend. I strongly recommend it. 🙂

Let me start by saying this is the best optometrist office I’ve visited . They are so friendly they take their time with you . It was my first time trying contacts but they took their time with me and made sure I left home comfortable. My husband had never had an eye test before so they we’re extra patient with him . So glad we found this office definitely will be back .
