I had a great experience at this office . I walked in as an emergency patient with pain and redness and they took me right away and made me very comfortable. I was happy with the staff and the doctor. My eye feels so much better after treatment. I would recommend this place any day . After I was better I chose glasses and they were nice high end frames for a reasonable price .

I am very frustrated by my experience with Optical Gallery. I have gone there many times in the past 5 years and had a great experience with the eye doctors themselves however one of the receptionists is terrible!

I dealt with her many times but this time was the worst and I am never returning back. In the past I have used my insurance which I know does not cover contact lense exams, however on this visit I am using my husband's insurance plan. His insurance plan DOES cover contact lense examinations and I not only called the insurance company to confirm this but I also brought in the letter from the insurance plan that details this. When I get to my appointment the receptionist tells me it's going to be $175 for a "contact lenses fitting". When I showed her the letter stating that contact exams are covered the receptionist said "I don't see that on my end". She refused to hear anything else or even look into the matter, she was plain rude!
I simply said I'm leaving. I am not putting up with her anymore. This place is going to close eventually because of this receptionist's unprofessionalism. AND I just want to note that I made one call to another local optometrist who confirmed that my plan does cover contact lenses examinations. This place just wants to rip you off!

My second time there. This time I met the new Doctor her name Dr. Bose very perfectional nice very specific in telling you the testes and what they are for. Love her and clinic recommended to anyone.

You have to deal with unprofessional, unfriendly, incompetent associates before getting an appt booked at this place. Not to mention , the long wait when you arrive early or on time. My sincere advice is to find an Eye Doctor, who values good company representatives and the customer experience. This is NYC, You can definitely do better.

I LOVE the Optical Gallery. I have bought 30 frames or more there. Boris is amazing, he has the best taste. The staff are all so lovely and helpful. And the doctors are really caring and efficient. I cannot speak more highly of it!! You will not be disappointed.

Every eye exam I’ve had was very thorough, the doctors take their time. I have a wonky prescription and they did a great job with my glasses, I’m really happy with the prescription and how well I can see. Not all places can get it right! Recommend! Nice staff too, especially Jennifer.

Doctor was great and took the time to answer all of my questions.

However, the price of contacts to order from them was 3x more than online for me ($160 for 1 month supply…) so just check the price before ordering. When I realized the price difference I tried to return my contacts but wasn’t allowed to.

Full service optical store. Super professional, excellent doctors, great communication. I’ve been going there for years and now my entire family will only go here. A place I highly recommend and trust. Can’t wait for my annual in November 🙂
