I felt rushed.Everything was too quick too fast.
And my insurance says full coverage, and yet
They were pricey. on a good note they are,Ray Ban. brand name .I'm ok with the prescription and the glasses. Also I was never texted or emailed when they were ready after 1and half week.

AMAZING! I had a pair of sunglasses where the nose piece had broken. They did an amazing job with a difficult repair and were able to turn them around quickly and for a great price. Will definitely be coming back!

I had a much better experience with Optic Shades than with Cohen Optical. First and foremost, don’t share your social security number. Cohen Optical’s manager, Innas, took it upon herself to use my social security number without my permission to get a credit card through the credit card company they are partners with to pay for the services. I didn’t request a credit card and I already had the same credit card. Cohen Optical use to be more professional but now with new management they appear to be unprofessional, unethical and will use your information without your knowledge or permission. Optic Shades’ manager was very professional and courteous.

I started going to Optic Shades in the Spring of 2021 after reading their good reviews on this website. My former job used to be close by. I've never had issues before and I have always been satisfied with their service. This is why I still remained a customer with this place even though I no longer work within the neighborhood. As of the summer of 2022, it is no longer convenient for me to go to Optic Shades but I never minded the inconvenient commute due to their satisfactory service and products. After last Friday, May 3, 2024, I will no longer return to Optic Shades after being given horrific service. The handling of Optic Shades regarding this mess could have been handled a lot better.

I picked up my new glasses on Tuesday, April 16. I always get transition lenses and in the past, I have always asked for the staff to test the transition effect in front of me. I didn't asked this time around since I've developed trust with Optic Shades. During the weekend of April 20 since it was sunny, I noticed my new glasses didn't get dark in the sunlight and I was very disappointed. I returned the glasses on Tuesday, April 23 and Arsen confirmed the lab didn't input the transition portion on my lenses. He assured me he will put a "rush" to get these fixed right away from the lab which will take about a day or two. I didn't care for the rush since I was using my old glasses for the time being. The "rush" to get my glasses returned didn't occur until May 2 when I received a text message that the glasses were ready over a week later and I was not happy. I picked up my glasses on Friday, May 3.

The least that Optic Shades could have done is give me some reimbursement for this horrific mishap since time equals money. A partial reimbursement would have been the right thing to do from a customer service standpoint. Arsen stating he is sorry for this inconvenience doesn't cut it. I don't have the time to be making four different trips to Optic Shades. First trip was getting my eyes examined. Second trip was picking up the glasses. Third unnecessary trip was returning the glasses due to lack due to the lack of transition. Fourth unnecessary trip was picking up the glasses again after the transition color was added. I don't have time to get played around like this. It wouldn't be a big deal if my job was within the neighborhood but I now lose a lot of time commuting to Optic Shades. This is clearly the fault of the lab but going forward, I am hoping that Optic Shades staff will now thoroughly test all the lenses they get from the lab. I won't be returning to Optic Shades anymore.

Unpleasant, high pressure sales tactics. Came in for eye exam and the sales person tried pressuring me into buying frames. After I decline repeatedly, he claims my insurance allowance for frames is only available on the day of the exam and i lose it if i do not. buy them with him. A bold faced lie. Avoid! (the actual eye exam was professional and friendly, hence 2 stars)

This was my second purchase at Optic. The service is welcoming, good humored and patient. I must have tried 20 sunglass frames. The prescription was from my opthamologist. I had both indoor and outdoor bifocals made. I am quite comfortable in both. Thank you Arsen for looking for the cost-saving discounts!
