I've traveled the world, and I have never seen a collection as well-curated as L’optique's.

Janis, who owns the store, has an impeccable eye for taste and always finds the coolest "if you know, you know" glasses.

Her team introduced me to a brand on the cusp of elite alternative designer status—think Bad Bunny and Beyoncé wearing them—but L’optique was repping these glasses way before that. ? The brand is called Kuboraum!

They've also introduced me to brands I now cherish, like Hong Kong French designer Rigards and Berlin's Mykita.

Over the last 10 years I have purchased quite a few glasses here. Their frame selection vastly exceeds any other store in the area, lots of designers to choose from. The staff is knowledgeable and professional, very friendly and efficient. Lenses are obtained usually within a week. I recently had a session with the in-house optometrist, Dr.Pope, who spent extra time testing solutions for my vision changes. This is the only place I get glasses from and I have never been dissatisfied. I recommend L’Optique highly!

Came in to see if I could get a pair of glasses fixed for my grandma as she fell and stepped on them. Kat was extremely helpful and courteous and repaired the misshaped nose pads and even replaced them. She also cleaned the lenses. She did all this free of charge and was lovely to chat with. After years of getting frames online that never quite fit my face properly, or didn't hold up to long-term heavy use, I decided to give L'optique a shot - and "WOW" is all I can say!

From the moment you enter the premises, the customer experience is second to none. Janice and her team are attentive, brilliant to work with, and help you select the perfect frame (or multiples) no matter what the occasion or use! I have 3 sets of prescription glasses from them, all slightly different, and I couldn't be happier! Not only are the frames unique and stylish, but high quality and extremely well built. Not to mention they have a massive selection to browse, making it very difficult to leave without the perfect pair of glasses.

Oh - and did I mention that there is a fantastic eye doctor ON SITE at this location? Dr. Pope's eye exam was a breeze and very thoroughly explained each step of the way.

Ive been coming to LOptique for almost 16 years and I got my first pair of Francis Klein rhinestone glasses, and I loved them! I got my 10+(?) pair of another pair of gorgeous rhinestone glasses yesterday and I LOVE LIVE LOVE them! Never have I had such great service from an optical shop in my many years of wearing glasses. Janice, Hannah, and the crew at L'optique are absolute ICONS of Asheville. There is simply no place I would rather be, both for their company, or their beautiful frames. For 10 years now I've exclusively got my frames from them, and I have no intention of EVER SWITCHING. They were the first ones to show me the light and get me into a pair of Oliver Peoples. They take care of their customers like family, and they simply have the most divine selection. LOVE THEM.
