This was my first time visiting General Optical, I had a pair of glasses that needed frame repair. I had not purchased them at General Optical. But they fixed them on the spot, at no charge, and with a smile. So, if in future when I need the glasses, I will surely go back. They have a fantastic selection of frames. Excellent and very personalized service.I had a sudden and unexpected problem with one eye. They immediately set up an appointment with Dr. Klaahsen, who accurately identified the cause of the problem. She then referred me to an appropriate and extremely qualified specialist and was able to schedule an appointment for me that afternoon. The specialist confirmed her diagnosis as a time sensitive problem, and was able to immediately start the necessary treatment to hopefully save my sight in that eye. I highly recommend General Optical.

Everyone here is so kind and thoughtful. You really feel well taken care of. The imaging and visual tests are state of the art (they have really cool retinal imaging and visual field testing). Dr. Klaahsen is a really talented, intelligent, and kind doctor. She takes your health seriously and will take time to make sure you're ok. I highly recommend coming here!

I'm getting the best vision care and eye health care that is possible. Dr. Klaahsen and her team work directly with my medical insurance and medical specialists to diagnose medical conditions affecting my vision in addition to handling my vision prescription that is no longer straight forward.

Special shout out to Diane who works to select and fit frames that work best with my prescription *and* still look great.

Dr. Klaahsen is friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly listens. I hated glasses, would get headaches from wearing them and eyes constantly seemed to get worse. Actually was continually being put into overstrength prescriptions by other doctors, which Dr Klaahsen immediately identified and corrected.

Friendly staff! They took me back promptly. During my exam, I received helpful explanations of what’s going on with my eyes. I appreciated having the fancy machine so I didn’t have to have my eyes dilated.
