We’ve been going to Dr. Yee for years now, and she is by far the best eye doctor we’ve had. Her staff is kind and professional. The office is clean and well run with a wide selection of frames. Dr. Yee is knowledgeable and has such an outgoing, warm personality. We spend a lot of the visit chatting because she really cares about her patients. Highly recommend her services.

Here at this location has the WORST eyeglass and frame supplier. For those who are misunderstood, the optometrists has a contract with a third party.
That entity claims to have 42 years of experience. Two weeks of having my frames that needed lenses made false claim in repair. I had to be present in order to obtain a correct frame for my lenses. The cost is not relevant, the treatment from the individual was uncalled for. A 45 minute debate could have been 10 minute swap of a frame.

Dr. Yee is warm and friendly and knowledgeable. My husband sees her too and I was surprised that she knew exactly who he was and remembered details he’d shared about his life. She seems to genuinely care about and take an interest in her patients!

Hands down earns the “BEST EYE DOC I’ve ever been to award.” Dr Yee deeply cares about the health of her patients and does the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever experienced. She’s a wonderful conversationalist and is genuinely interested in you as a person and not just as a patient. You can tell she’s extremely intelligent and knows her stuff about optics, the bioengineering of contact lenses, etc. Her staff is always warm welcoming and willing to help. You won’t be able to get a better experience in NYC.

I'm always a bit wary when I have to try a new doctor for anything, but I saw that Dr. Yee got exceptionally good reviews on ZocDoc, so I scheduled an appointment for my annual check-up and to get new glasses - and I'm very happy that I did! Dr. Yee was very nice, personable, friendly, and was both patient and helpful to make sure that I had the best prescription for my eyes. She made sure that I was comfortable with the prescription she was about to give me, that things looked clear both in the exam room and looking outside.

The other staff in the store are also very nice and super helpful. The lady at the front desk (I feel so bad not remembering her name now) was very patient in going through nearly all of the frames that my insurance would help cover, and helped me choose the best frames for my face.

I am definitely going to come back here next time (I've pretty much gone to a different eye doctor every year for the past several years because I wasn't particularly thrilled with any of the past ones).

Update: I went for a contact lens assessment. Really like Dr. Yee. She's chatty, asks and answers questions, gives helpful advice and tips. Will definitely be back.

Original review 3 months ago is 1-star, and mostly about the answering service she uses: Why give my name, DOB and address to the woman answering the phone when she is unprofessional, rude and unhelpful. The answering service shouldn't cost you customers, and you just lost four of us.

I brought my kids here for an exam in January. Dr. Yee was wonderful and knowledgeable. Steven was kind and friendly and took my infos over the phone, thus when I arrived, we were all set. They took my VSP insurance which was a relief. I was concerned they would be pricey due to the location, but was relieved they are reasonable. I will return and had a very positive experience here.
